Capricornia Family Day Care
Family Day Care Capricornia has been operating as a scheme since July 2006. Amalgamation occurred between the Former schemes Family Day Care Capricornia North and Family Day Care Capricornia South which had serviced the local district since 1985. The scheme currently supports 88 Carers and 360 Families.
We Provide:
Family Day Care Capricornia hosts a scheme Play group that provides the children with larger group setting to socialize in. The resource library is accessible to carers for assistance in provision of equipment to meet with Australian Standards.
Family Day Care Capricornia aims to provide to children high quality care that best promotes their learning and development in the children’s vital early years. Family Day Care combines the benefits of other child care options with the warmth and intimacy of 
growing up at home.
Carers Needed:
Family Day Care Capricornia is currently seeking interest from people who are creative and energetic and want to be part of a professional child care team. Pre-service training is provided, along with ongoing professional development and support.
If you have a desire to run your own business from home, and are seeking a personal and professional challenge, this could be the career choice for you.
We require Carers that can provide either:
- full-time care
- part-time care
- shift work
- evenings and weekends
People interested in becoming a Carer will need a Senior First Aid Certificate, or ability to obtain.

About our Carers:
With the support of the Coordinator Unit Carers are resourced, trained and kept up-to-date with current child care practices; Carers are assessed for their suitability to care for young children, Carers must hold a current suitability notice, first aid and CPR certificate, All adult members of the carer’s family are required to hold a suitability notice (Blue Card).
Carers must attend regular in-service training, regular safety checks of carer’s home are conducted. Carers require a annual Medical certificate, and Annual vehicle safety check.
Type of Care Provided:
In Family Day Care, the hours of care are flexible and can be matched to your family’s needs. Family Day Care may be available on weekends or overnight if required.
